KS as in Kansas? Oof, my sympathies... Speaking from personal experience from myself and my GF, Colorado is incredibly queer & especially trans friendly, particularly in Denver metro area, Boulder, Fort Collins, and even CO springs. Literally have a gay governor and it's practically next door. I work with a moving company and we've gotten a lot of openly queer & trans folks & couples move up here in recent years.
