I honestly can't, but I perservered.

I am a clean freak with most peripherals (except keyboard because that's a real pain in the ass). I scrubbed the outsides and eventually the insides too when they weren't working right.
I had discovered online that DS4 and DS5 controllers all had design flaws with the joystick.

These things were built to not last long.
