lol, oat-flour-buttermilk flatbread doesn't sound too exciting but i will try making it, in latin america getting buttermilk is pretty hard because spaniards ddidn't use it, we consider it spoiled milk and back then people attempted to make it cheese to save it.
Now i am seeing other recipes and it is very different, it's a fluffy bread with only flour, oil and water. What the hell all recipes vary a lot, and yeah some versions are very similar to fry bread but the injuns make it very near our borders, perhaps the scotts were damn good at it or a coincidence.
But bannock seems made as a skillet fry while injuns deep-fry it, very interesting, definitely will try it.
