The Pope suggested that Zelenskyy hold negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in the Vatican.
During the meeting, they also discussed the return of Ukrainian children who were illegally taken to Russia. "I am very grateful to His Holiness for this meeting and, of course, for his help—both spiritual and practical," the president said after meeting with Pope Leo XIV.
