As to my study, there are many kinds of Waifufags.
Some just jump onto every girl release after release with no sense of loyalty much like the average waifufag
Others just choose one and stay with them, prob until EoS, them showing loyalty, love and lust. Much like the main hebe trio: Hutao, Fischl and Furina, although this last one seems to fall victim of the most annoying case of them all.
The self inserter who believes himself to be part of the cast and thinks its his right to OWN all of the female characters, disregarding their own likes, dislikes and even sometimes personality. Almost loving some kind of OOC version of said characters. Yet this matters little for this "haremfag" individual since as long as his addiction is satisfied, he would care less about what the characters truly entail, even if this pandering damages the quality of the story.
One would think this type of person loves each one of the girls, yet if you ask of him what are his honest thoughts, he will simple answer with the most vain reasons of them all "sex", because, to nobody's surprise, the girls are just a fuel to supply his disgusting porn addiction and sex fantasies that, sadly, he wil never experience in real life.
