I was curious about The Immoral Gemeinschaft/背徳のゲマインシャフト so I searched about it. It was first mentioned in chapter 35: "The Immoral Gemeinschaft is a popular anime" within the universe.

Obviously it's fictional, but after looking into it, Gemeinschaft is actually one of categories of social relationships used by sociologist Ferdinand Tönnies. The exact terms he used are Gemeinschaft and Gesellschaft (community and society).

>The Gesellschaft is associated with modern society and rational self-interest, which weakens the traditional bonds of family and local community that typify the Gemeinschaft.
>Max Weber, a founding figure in sociology, also wrote extensively about the relationship between Gemeinschaft and Gesellschaft. Weber wrote in direct response to Tönnies.

What does it have to do with Girl Meets Rock? Apparently someone noticed that Gemeinschaft is often mentioned in the Social Welfare Worker national exam. Which means Kuwahari-sensei had studied sociology and took the exam before. This is a blog post that dug up on it:

>While researching for this blog, I found an interview with Kuwahari‑sensei:
>“After graduating university, I worked as a company employee for a bit, quit, then did part‑time jobs while taking correspondence courses to obtain qualifications, worked elsewhere… I think I drifted around for a bit (laughs).”
