I've just finished Skirk's quest and while it was good for Genshin's standard, the Surtalogi powerwank left me flabbergasted.

What the fuck is the Abyss that it can turn regular dudes into planetbusters? Given that Surtalogi also uses it to travel to different planets, it seems to be not limited to only Teyvat.

Is it some kind of vague McGuffin like Honkai energy that does whatever the fuck the writers need it do right now? Because it sure feels like it.
