Holy shit. Every single one of you jumping to the conclusion that Paimon is Asmoday need to kill yourselves. Istaroth was literally narrating the history of the siblings. Ronova has seen the traveler and Paimon in the present. THEY KNOW ABOUT PAIMON YOU DUMB SHITS, IF SHE WAS ASMODAY THEY WOULD HAVE ANALLY RAPED THE TRAVELER AND TAKEN HER BACK BY NOW. And besides, historically Paimon has had more ties to Istaroth than Asmoday. The two things that hint towards her being Asmoday or related to her are her black star hair clip and oh wait, that's literally it. The star itself isn't even exclusive to Asmoday, Istaroth also has the star all over her design. You know what's not part of Asmoday's design? The Trichetra.

There's a small chance that Paimon is actually a joint creation of both Istaroth and Asmoday, though. In the story that Istaroth gave the humans in the teaser, the shades are going against Primordial One. The PO is "reason", not a single one of you has mentioned that the narrator saying that the shades abide no reason over and over again IS a reference to them going against the will of the PO. Ronova did not let the story finish, but it most likely hints that they serve the demiurge and Asmoday abandoning them IS actually a sign of loyalty to the Primordial One. As the author of the story, Istaroth is aware of this, yet she acts acts cold and indifferent. Towards humans, which goes against everything we know about her so far, and toward Asmoday, which goes against how her perspective about her should be if she believes her story to be true. Istaroth is most likely playing the long game to overthrow the demiurge, and Paimon is part of her plan.
