Round 3
>Pre-Match: Team Nasu Analysis
Team Nasu opens Round 3 by reviewing the Riverside A map under heavy rain and storm conditions. Just like in canon they'll keep the same strat of grouping up and blowing up the bridge to divide the other teams using the heavy weather conditions that heavily reduces sniper effectiveness. Nasu's squad is familiar with Suzunar-1st, but Suwa-7 is a new opponent and according to Nasu their Speed Blitz formation relies heavily on Oki, who anchors the team by providing constant mid-range support to Katori or Suwa until either can arrive to finish engagements. On a stormy map that hinders snipers, Suwa-7’s central pillar loses much of its value. Kumagai asks about Mikumo but Nasu notes him as a non-factor in direct combat; as he appears to be more of an support or strategist, especially since this time they were lucky to have the choice of map.
>The Fight
The battle begins similarly to canon, but with some deviations. Nasu, unconcerned with Amatori this time, advances directly north toward the bridge, causing an early engagement with Mikumo. Oki attempts to reposition but refrains from revealing himself due to the threat from Kuruma and Taichi, with Osamu retreating for his life against Nasu and Taichi tries to find some angles for a shot.
On the other front, Kumagai and Akane move toward the bridge. Kou arrives as Kumagai reaches the crossing, and the fight erupts. Kumagai tells Akane to hold. Katori then appears, opening fire with dual pistols, Hounds and Asteroids toward both fighters, they raise their shields to absorb the shots while Akane lines up a countershot at Katori.
Suwa then teleports behind Kumagai and Ko, firing a shotgun blast at each. Ko narrowly dodges with Raygust thruster, but Kumagai is struck and takes heavy damage. At the same time, Katori uses Grasshopper to evade Akane’s fire, mimicking Yuma’s movement from the canonical match, and leaps toward Akane.
