This man did it to himself.. his adductor muscles are so weak that he can't keep his legs together. In order to maintain safe leverage, anything over 2.5-3ish plates should be done with your heel/toes no more than an inch past your shoulders, and your shin bones should remain vertical throughout. Ego lifting on a stage, a weight you are clearly not trained for, is just sad. He will probably never walk again, and I would not be surprised if his neck is a fucked as his knees after ditching the bar forward like that.
