Oldfag who saw the first two in the theaters and is fan of the first two. Saw this last night and actually liked it a lot despite some serious plot holes and "wtf" moments as well as qualms with the writers' questioning of religion and human morality. The thread is already going off the rails with critique on this, but to answer this >>212316548 anon, the whole "hurr durr, Skydaddy faggots are insane cultists" fedora shit is cool if you're 12 or a troon, and that's about it in 2025. Notice none of these movies will never play this same shit on Islam or Judaism (lol), especially considering for decades the UK has basically been Pakistan-lite. It is anti-Christian, but I can deal with these played out tropes because I'm a grown ass man and not 12 and mentally ill, and I can enjoy media without having to buy into everything it's trying to convince me.
Pros:
>lots of eye candy, vivid color palette, interesting shots
>cool set pieces
>actors are good and well cast
>takes the infected in a slightly different direction
Cons
>massive fucking plot holes and things that just don't seem plausible, especially from a series of films known for being relatively grounded in reality (Natofags get rekt, kid goes from shitting his pants to fearless in a day, etc).
>last 2 acts of the movie plunge further and further into disbelief, and the whole baby on the train thing absolutely did not have to be in the film.
>"cool, doc, the circle of life, thanks for boiling the flesh off my mom's head so I can put it on your skull stack."
If they were trying to push these themes of "good parts of humanity" and "love" they could have written in some pregnant woman on the NATO boat that was with the soldiers and I'd have bought that before the "pregnant infected getting fucked by giant Chad zombie and looking for his babby taken by the child and mom". Also the Jimmy Saville thing at the end wasn't even that bad, desu. Especially if we're supposed to suspend our disbelief.
