To expand on what I was saying before, the retention of the rounds feels more secure, as they are supported further down compared to my regular cheap-ass speed loaders. It comes with a swappable back-plate that let you put a traditional feeling solid/non moving pop-socket looking thing. Extends the length, but it gives a good spot for a more positive mechanical grip point. I don't know much about polymer, but the body is a solid/dense feeling plasticish thing.

The button that releases the rounds has a decent amount of spring tension behind it, and it's protected from accidental actuation by the rounds when fully loaded. Once the first reload has been done, the rounds themselves are free sliding in their little grooved tracks inside the body. It's worth noting that large grips, especially ones that extend upwards on the revolver and also ones that widen the grip area may affect the angle the loader can line up to the cylinder. Essentially, the imagine the end of the cylinder extending infinitely out into space, and if that intersects with your revolver grips it's going to cause some problems.

All told, I think it's a nice little thing, especially for the price. I carry my revolver when I'm out in the back country, and having a more solid/durable way to carry 18 rounds in a similar volume to two traditional speed loaders has an appeal.
