Either the Operator or the tall, slow guy who looks ill steps in and starts placing stuff in the room that is labeled.
It's a set of ALICE web gear for each of them, complete with two magazine pouches, and an ALICE saw gunner "dump pouch".
A TV is wheeled in on a stand and plugged in, before a button is pressed and he VHS inside begins to play.
"Welcome Expedition Team members to Task Force Vanguard," a 1990s governmental style announcer says. "You are part of a select and proud few trusted and tasked to keep the world safe.
The film cuts to a person shorter than the average man, with a coyote brown bandana over their mouth. The eyes are behind a set of protective goggles and the hair is back and stuffed into some kind of Kevlar helmet that is currently dark blue. The figure is wearing a jumpsuit of this new strange Coyote brown camo with the grid pattern.
"Yes, if you do the presentation," an unseen man says. "She says you get to keep the jumpsuit and the bandana."
“Did you get that offer on film?” the bandana'ed woman says.
"We're already rolling," she is handed an ALICE web belt by a set of mysterious gloved hands. "Take this and address the new recruits."
“Oh, great.” She turns to the camera. “Well, welcome to TFV. In order to get the people with a less militaristic background caught up to speed, they asked me to do this demo. Keeping your kit available is important, and the best way to do that is keeping it on you.”
She demonstrates how to put on the belt and harness. The belt and suspenders are clipped on and adjusted till they fi her. She is handed some magazine pouches and she holds them up. "These go on your left side, but arranged so you can go prone." Her hands hold up some metal brackets. "All our kit is good, except these, which are shit." Someone hands her some zip ties and dummy cord, and she already has a pocket knife out.
"You gotta zip tie these onto you and anything extra heavy has to be dummy corded on. Burn the ends so the dummy cord doesn't break." The two magazine pouches are put on her left.
She then fits the ALICE SAW gunner "dump pouch" on her right and attaches it with dummy cord, which she takes time to prepare.
Then she is handed a new MOLLE pouch with a cross painted onto it. She unbuckles it open. "This has two pressure bandages, a CAT tourniquet, and two packets of Quik Clot." She rotates herself and starts attaching it. "It goes always on the right side, never anywhere else."
She then gives an explanation of how to use the medical equipment.
This is followed by an explanation on how you want it to fit - “Make sure it doesn’t pinch, you’re going to be wearing this until you feel naked without it, and pinching is a great way to cause future issues like blisters.”
She concludes the demonstration with: “And that’s ALICE. Good luck out there.”
