Say a little prayer by Jenna Voris was an unexpectedly earnest depiction of being gay in a conservative Christian town. The cover made me think it would be a farce, like a lot of those gay's at the Christian camp movies are, but it played it mostly straight. The protagonist is very much an idiotic 16 year old which I liked because the plot gives her idiocy consequences. The author mentions too many contemporary references and the prose is whatever but I enjoyed it.
