People sexualizing ghosts and monsters is not a new thing at all. Japs have the Yuki Onna which operate similarly to nordic Snow Queen, by being beautiful but freezes you to death if you touch her. Lot of malevolent forest or pond spirits appeared to men as beautiful women, with a goal that the men start chasing them deep into the forest where they will get lost and die or get pulled deep underwater when the Nixie or Mermaid shows its true colors. Nixie/Nocken/Näkki was a pond woman which depending on the story was either a really ugly monster woman with long black hair, or really beautiful woman with massive tits and long black hair.
