The main reason for the PS3 shit architeture was to stop piracy since despite selling a lot, EVERY third party complained about how Sony couldn't stop PS2 piracy. The main reason it sold a lot in shitholes like Brazil was exactly because you could easily find pirated games being sold for like 50 cents.
