hello and happy femroe Friday my fellow femroe fanatics
this week, I'd like to present a poem in the spirit of America's birthday!
I love femroes so much it's unreal

sweltering heat keeps us cooped up in doors
with little to do, it's quite a bore!
yet when night visits us and the sun's sent on his way,
we've a wondrous occasion; a fireworks display!

burgers! hotdogs! cool iced treats!
these and more we'll indulge in to quell lingering heat!
but beyond festive feasts in remembrance of freedoms earned,
there's one thing missing that the heart yet yearns...

"Oh bother" you mutter, "I shouldn't have got my hopes up..."
"She said she would make it, but alas no such luck!
The fireworks are soon, the show waits for none!
Without her beside me, it shan't be as fun..."

at the apex of darkness, the night's sky canvas was set
to be the perfect backdrop for the best fireworks yet!
they soon shot up high like skyward bound stars,
how they sparkled and boomed, even from afar!

yet as the show went on and the display's grandeur still grew,
their beauty only served to leave your heart feeling blue,
"How apt that each rocket shoots up in pairs,
so that no one is alone, au contraire!
Quite a crowd they've amassed high in the sky, but if I'm here alone, I suppose I'll be fine..."

the grand finale grew near, saving the best for last,
this final salvo would triumph over those of the past!
a lull in the action as they prepared for the end.
so lost in the moment, you hadn't heard your friend!

"You came!" you exclaimed, jumping up from your seat.
filled with joy and relief, you ran up to greet!
wearing a light dress, she looked simply her best!
stunned by her beauty, words escaped you;
a warm, calming smile that shone right through!

taking your hand, she sat down with you,
"Of course I did, Love, now let's enjoy the view!"

please enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a good weekend
in the words of another anon, "remember to be kind, even online"
happy 4th of July!
thank you
