Ive Never told this story anywhere
I grew up in the caribbean, on a small island called Anguilla part of the British west indies; It has a couple small uninhabited islands near by, one right off one of the islands points called Anguilla Island or christmas island, the island is slim and long like an eel. There is one called Dog island and one called Scrub Island which has an airstrip for drug smuggling built in the 80s
The other island is called Prickly Pear, often tourists will go there to party, for day trips, most people don't stay overnight.
There is a small structure right off the main leeward side beach, with some built in benches and chairs, a built in bar and snack shack, all open. Also an abandoned metal boat on the windward side of the island
I went to sailing school for a few years, I did scuba diving for shipwrecks and other reefs, long story short I was a very /out/ person, fishing often.
When I was about 13, I decided to take my small sailing boat to camp on prickly pear overnight, The whole day was fun, caught and cooked a couple red snappers over an open fire, explored the beech with my metal detector. At night time I usually would have slept in a hammock outside between two coconut palms however I had a really weird feeling like I was being watched and decided to sleep inside the shack, It had a doorway and a counter with a small opening, so it had some shelter to it.
Starting at around midnight I could hear a lot of excessive splashing and laughing, it sounded like a young female voice; I was weirdly scared/excited but next thing I know it started to call my name, to come in the water. I was so scared I thought my heart was going to come out of my chest, I didn't even get up to look, stayed alert as long as i could until I eventually fell asleep and sailed home the next day.
I asked some old islander sailors and fishermen who said they would have made me disappear if I had gone out.
