Ask him if the people he knows are burning out around the same time and whether he feels that it's like they are all feeling the death knell of this game, and if it's sad or not as he waits long enough for something he's passionate about to be better, and eventually love/hate turns to apathy. I would tell him there's no recovering from apathy, that's doneville. We can bicker all we want about solo raid and stellar and personal beefs and whatever but ultimately it's meaningless if no one cares anymore because the game never updated
