I'm replaying Danganronpa and I've just gotten up to the part where you discover the very first victim in all of Danganronpa. I really like the first chapter, I know not much happens at first since the story has only just begun but what I like in chapter 1 is that it gives alot of focus to Sayaka Maizono, the girl who befriends Makoto Naegi on day one, you learn about her dreams and how she fears the world is gonna forget about her, there are moments where she loses happiness before going back to being happy again, especially after seeing her motive video and it looks like things are gonna be okay for her and you and her will survive and escape Hopes Peak Academy together.

And then she doesn't show up for the morning breakfast, you enter the room she was sleeping in, you can't find her until you enter the bathroom where she lies dead covered in blood with a knife sticking out of her stomach. The scene is so shocking but well done for me, especially with the build up of making it seem likes she's gonna be around for the whole game only to be the first to die, I remember when I first played this game and discovered her corpse, I shit bricks and was shocked. That fucking bear has succeeded in making us kill after 4 days. I can't wait to continue.
