mahoako is basically an example of how modern anime fanservice is worse than it used to be. first of all the animation and drawing quality wasn't that great. with old fanservice animes even if the overall budget wasn't high it was carefully allocated to the important scenes. mahoako looked like it was barely getting along for the entire duration. secondly most of the fanservice was sequestered in explicitly erotic scenes. in old anime you could enjoy fan service in the middle of action scenes or even ones where characters were just standing around talking to each other. it seems like anime now is made with a censored version in mind with uncensored content having to be in segments that can be easily clipped out. this is probably why the fairy in the cat fucker anime had her outfit censored despite getting naked in other scenes. anime fanservice will continue to be endangered as long as this made for cucked streaming platform shit continues.
