Sure, but personal preference, I don't generally like actively malicious/evil cosmic horrors. Nyarlathotep is fine because he's an exception to the rule of his setting and his maliciousness is born out of his own powerlessness and need to understand mortals to fulfill his function.
But having all powerful beings giving a shit about the lives of petty mortals and actively wanting to ruin them takes me right out of it. If you're so big and powerful, why do you care? Space is vast and the Earth is tiny. If you're the kind of thing that concerns yourself with the fabric of reality, how did you even find, much less get a vested interest in, one single planet?
It's like going to a beach to play with a single grain of sand, only even more extreme given how big the universe is.
