He's right, there is only one God. It's been called many names, assigned different forms which we created to know it better, it has many aspects such as time, but in the end it's the pure consciousness and the pure energy come together to create after "splitting" at the beginning of this universe. Bindu, Logos, and so on. Call it whatever you want, it still is what it is and because of it being what it is, you are able to be what you are. You've always been and always will be because of that divine spark, but to think it's a totally separate being controlling everything is false.
