It's such a weird attempt at leaving it open, I don't think it's possible to even write an acceptable sequel with how entangled in paradoxes and time shenanigans the whole timeline is and it's even weirder they reminded the players about the forbidden book and other plotholes if they weren't going to continue.

hasnt done anything since 2017 and had massive gaps in activity on twitter, maybe they really planned it but something on the writer's end prevented it. Maybe someday.
