I'm of the same opinion about Steam but essentially pirated copies will be censored as well unless the games would be available for purchase from a different vendor that has less tight restrictions. Which I doubt will happen often as it's way easier for publishers to ship one censored version and be done with it. And good luck finding such a vendor in the first place. They might start distributing NSFW patches on third-party sites more often than they do now, but once again, there are no guarantees. I suspect developers and publishers will cry that there's nothing they can do about it way more than actually doing anything about it and censor shit to kindom come.
