All the jokes and mockery about tipping culture in America is absolutely true.
This doesn't mean that EVERYONE tips for everything all the time. Plenty of exceptions and variations (regional or person to person). But the culture is so pervasive that even in Japan I was asked in the most touristy places of Tokyo if I wanted change or if I was giving a tip.
I mean, japs don't do tips, but they are not retarded and will not say no to free money from retarded gaijin.
