Against an equal, I'll start with an ambush from an advantageous position, or test them with long ranged attacks. Wear them down, pick off their allies. Then before they adapt, I close the distance and smack them around with my gun. I'm constantly swapping between getting up in their face with a weighted spear, and firing down at them from on top of something just far away enough that it's frustrating. Even in close range, I'll be randomly amplifying the sounds of impacts to be extremely disorienting or damaging, occasionally using this to assist in breaking their focus long enough to use my speed to take up a ranged attack position once more.
Basically, I want it to be as disorienting as possible. Even fighting in melee, I'm using a weapon style that very few enemies using a more traditional weapon will have experience against.
More often than not, I'll be working with at least one ally, fighting at range or up close depending on which will benefit them the most at that moment.
Against a mook, I'd fight pretty much the same way, but putting less power into each shot, and using less sound to save my energy for when it's needed. If I'm fighting a particularly strong opponent, or against overwhelming numbers, I'll try to find a space where I can use my domain. Any opponent without a brain will get bogged down fighting ghosts that vaguely look like me, while I deal the real damage. Anyone smarter will have to find waldo/wally in a crowd of similar uniforms every time they lose sight of me, and there WILL be TONS of smoke to fade into. Even being able to sense danger won't save them, when everything in every direction is danger.
