Bridgette is a good example of what I'm talking about. Same with Amy Wong. You can make cartoon characters look Asian. It's just when things lean closer to being too cartoony (exaggerated), you can't go full retard and make ethnic features too caricaturized (unless you'd do that for EVERYONE, and not just for features tied to ethnicity) because it carries the implication that there's a default to be compared to.

So the solution is to make things subtle rather than risk looking fucking racist, and have some trust in the audience to understand that the character is Asian rather than going full retard
