Left wing/marxist politics is founded on hatred and envy. The essence is always to attribute adherents woes to characterisation; this makes it all his fault or their fault. It plays into a basal humanistic urge and, as we've seen can be fashioned into political movements and instigate change in culture and society. While it is the mechanism of choice for marxist and far leftism, it is equally as present in all types of people.
