Video stores fucking sucked. They were inconvenient and expensive. Were you to erase streaming and internet from the collective consciousness it would fucking suck to go to the local video store just to go on a waitlist to rent the new movie that came out. Some fucking jeet would always go and beat you to it just to burn 1000 black market copies and resell for profit. You'd never find shit in stock and you'd be better off buying mountains of physical media or recording and burning it like the jeets.

It was never about the video stores, it was the experience and who you shared it with.
