they're going by self-identification. fun side note: American racial identification in at least the last 50+ years is self-reported. so I, a white man, could 100% legally get reparations (if they ever happen) by claiming I'm black, the only trick is I have to have done it for at least the last 10 years to 'qualify'. I can even pretend I'm native American. I just can't exploit the specific tribal stuff.
I bring all that up because these people self-identified as "Person of multiple races", which most certainly means they are true 'mystery meat'. Think "blasian" or "blindian". Places like Trinidad, IIRC, are like half blindian because of historical stuff, so some of these groups are pretty large.
Also, it bears repeating that the rest of the world is unhappy that it's not white.
