I take posts from your flag even less seriously than I previously did once I realized that lying is Ukraine's national pastime and you even lie out of boredom. You have nothing else to do, with no real jobs in this economy and sitting under Russian bombardment, so you log on your computers and lie to pass the time. Like an elderly person sitting in a rocking chair beside the fire you invent increasingly implausible and miraculous yarns detailing your military exploits and triumphs. I realized that Ukrainains are quite proud of this and consider it part of their national identity. It is also a form of therapeutic escapism for you because it allows you to live in an imaginary world quite different from our own. So to entertain yourself, but also to psychologically escape from the crippling weight of the real world, you must lie. Like a beaver instincitvely chews wood, or the bee instincitvely is drawn to flowers, or the songbird sings as part of its nature, the Ukrainian wakes up and lies.
