Ukraine: Attack Destroys Vital Rehabilitation Center for Children and Veterans
A Russian airstrike in the early hours of June 23, 2025, completely destroyed the CSM Clinic in Bila Tserkva, a vital medical facility south of Kyiv that provided specialized care to some of the most vulnerable populations, including children with disabilities and military veterans recovering from serious injury and captivity.
The attack resulted in the total destruction of the building, including its rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and inpatient wards. The clinic was a critical sanctuary for diverse patient groups: children from the Fastiv Educational and Rehabilitation Center, palliative care patients, individuals recovering from strokes, and Ukrainian service members undergoing physical and psychological recovery after returning from the front lines.
The TulSun Foundation, a charitable organization that had supported the clinic, stated, "A clinic where children with disabilities received a chance for a full life was destroyed by a direct hit. Today, that hope is buried under the rubble."
