looking at soc it seems things are getting pretty dire

so many people giving up entirely on almost all pretense they'd ever be worthy of love, degenerate fetishes you'd never see accepted even on 4chan 20 years ago, desperate masochists begging for table scraps and to be abused and blackmailed

the few remaining delusional people thinking they can find a real relationship huddling together for warmth and turning to prison gay tactics

all this because NOBODY wants to lower themselves to the standard of ANYBODY ELSE any more

I have two observations.

1. Apparently it's not just Sakurai, ANYBODY who is given the choice of "what characters should I add to smadh?" will purposefully avoid obvious fan favorite picks like geno and waluigi. I wonder if there's some level of spite there because there's really no reason not to, a creative mind can work around any "problems" and I KNOW there's obvious demand for them.

2. Most people really don't grow up, huh? I'm seeing all the same rhetoric in this thread I would have expected 20 years ago from what at the time I has assumed were kids my age. It really almost feels like traveling back in time in a bad way. I suppose for a great many users of this board it's not simply that retro games provide comfort and nostalgia but rather that they are unfortunately legitimately psychologically permanently stuck in middle school. That's a really depressing thing to realize.
