>Caracas to Cumana was a dangerous route in the past and it took 6 hours, that's a quarter of the country in straight line and there's no massive highways like in USA... Which that same distance in US highways would be safer and probs 4 hours.
I wouldn't imagine being robbed on the Interstate. Like...for one, the way they're built is fundamentally different. There's no stop signs or red lights, no turns, and braking is generally discouraged or illegal. The idea is to separate through-traffic from stopping-traffic and improve fuel efficiency, safety, speed, etc. in the process. Thus, we would drive nonstop for this distance and yes, it would only be about 4-5 hours. Since there's no stopping, we can go even faster without the expectation of needing to use brakes at all; generally, the assumption is that driving is 1 mile per minute. Also, you know what kinda surprises me? You have no bridge to Trinidad.

>Every night past 6 PM, military had to shut down the road and at 6 AM they made a convoy with troops walking on foot and vehicles, aiming at every single direction to prevent robberies. it was insane.
Yeah, that sounds terrible. It even sounds counterproductive. If you shut down the road, there's no more commerce to rob, so patrolling it makes no sense once that measure is taken. For reference, that's about the distance driving between states or even driving within a state in the US at times; our driving times are hugely different, but it's about the equivalent of shutting down a major Interstate highway I'd say.

>Whatever that is
He's referring to Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, but if you were talking about military exercises with Russian intelligence, that sounds a little weird but it could be the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense. They have some elite combat units called Spetsnaz and are known for their hardcore training.

Sad but it happens. If you're driving and she's walking, then offer to drive her somewhere. Don't be shy because it might not work out. Not every interaction will lead to a relationship and being social and trying to make friends is your first step to getting a wife way down the road. You need a social life IRL or there's little hope.
