it was literally 1 year before doing that was illegal because of code being considered copyright due to the bios embedded on it
By the way, they went on to suck donkey shit at creating the SNES and it was delayed multiple times because the developers there had NO IDEA what they where doing yet because of the easy ride they got stealing all of the work of western people. they used that stealing to focus on creativity.
