Neocities is web 1.0 interpreted by zoomers which is wrong most of the time sprinkled with some ironic intent. Sort of reminds me of how zoomers see the 90s compared to what the 90s actually was. I grew up on Geocities and lived through it all, I try to keep my Neocities 90% authentic web 1.0, I give myself some exceptions using css and raising size limits for gifs.
