No, you can't get away with that. Captialism is a free market. I would argue that it a goverment imposed fiat currency isn't capitalism, because the key defining feature (the price of capital) is controlled by a government or quasi goverment monopoly. The system is undercut at it's most fundamental base.
Those in control of the printing press can stimulate the economy by artificially lowering interest, or triggering a recession by constricting the money supply, and those closest to the money supply will always be advantaged via the Cantillon effect.
Free markets require free money. Anything else is just another form of socialism.
