My generation is not happier than my boomer parents. Housing is unaffordable. Busywork corporate daycare pays more than real jobs. Everyone is drugging themselves or escaping into fantasy. Things have obviously gotten worse in the USA. You can feel the decline. You can see it in the people. Also "happiness" is fake and fucking gay anyway. It's not a foundation to build a society on. Blind self-interest and a bunch of rootless individuals yearning for happiness.
