The echoes of pickaxes rang like steady heartbeats beneath the earth.
The dwarves dug with purpose, carving smooth tunnels and vaulted caverns beneath the Hollow. Bioluminescent moss unfurled like tiny constellations. Spore-pines rooted deep. Underground springs shimmered with faint crystal light. Slowly, life began to pulse in the deep — stubborn, silent, and entirely their own.
Above, the Hollow’s great gate stood unfinished but proud.
And then, one morning, it opened again.
Through it stumbled a party of five, young and wide-eyed. Dusty cloaks, mismatched armor, a talking backpack, and one of them already nursing a minor dimensional burn. Adventurers. First-timers, by the look of it.
Their leader — a red-haired girl with a chipped greatsword — approached you nervously.
“You’re… the portal master, right?” she asked. “We heard you might know the planes. We’re looking for something.”
She opened a scroll. “The Phylactery of Vrosh-Ka, the Bone Crowned. Said to be sealed in a hidden demi-plane. It could be anywhere. We think it passed through here.”
Her mage added, “It’s important. If we destroy it, we can finally stop his rise.”
Jira raised a brow, watching them silently.
> Help Them – Use your influence and planar knowledge to guide their quest. You may risk drawing the Lich’s attention — but these young adventurers might become something more.
> Refuse Politely – Let them find their own way. You owe them nothing, and bringing a lich’s wrath here would be unwise.
> Warn the Lich – Secretly send word across the planes. A powerful ally could be earned by betraying their hunt.
> Divert Them – Send them on a safer quest first — a trial to see if they’re worthy of your help.
> Imprison Them – Something about their timing feels off. Interrogate them and find out who really sent them.
