EU military aid worth €6.6 billion has been frozen since the start of the year due to Hungary, according to Josep Borrell. The former EU foreign policy chief said that since early 2025, Ukraine has not received a single euro in weapons funding because Hungary blocked €6.6 billion from the European Peace Facility.
