Nice alliteration. And I do agree. She doesn't look like one of those resolute Greek statues, all artistic and elegant and otherworldly. She looks like someone you could find out on the street in any modern city. Which only serves to make it feel more raw; she doesn't look like a goddess or a legendary hero. Just a scared girl caught at the wrong time, immortalised in her skimpy metal bikini.
And she's been there for so long that no one remembers who she was. Maybe she actually was a legendary hero. Maybe she was her village's last line of defence against a rampaging gorgon. Maybe she was just a peasant girl who was playing dress-up, or was forcibly dressed up and rendered in stone by a bored noble. Maybe she wasn't even a girl. None of that matters now. Just her body and her last desperate moments.
On a slight side tangent, I like when there's like, old stains on the statue as well. Underneath all the moss, maybe there's the outline of one last tear running down their face. Or maybe they're covered in the yellowed stains of thousands of ancient, uncleaned cumshots. It tells more of a story.
