Only finished it the once and didn't do a heap of the side content. I thought it was alright, felt like a mix of Dad of War and a simplified Nioh. Great art direction and character designs obviously, though I've never read Journey to the West so a lot of it was probably lost on me. Some Lords of the Fallen-tier design choices though like some of the bosses actually nerfing you to the point of uselessness (as in removing core gameplay mechanics from you) if you didn't do some massively missable sidequest.

I'd say a 7/10, would be happy to give a sequel a go.
