But you don't need athletic wear. The most successful women in the gym I've ever seen are the ones that wear ratty old/random shirts and seemingly random chosen shorts and pants. Probably the least successful women and the least likely to return to the gym consistently are the ones who spend all this money on athletic wear to look cute and show off assets they really don't have, when they realize they aren't getting the attention that they want they quit. As for positive reinforcement, yeah positive reinforcement works fantastic for weight loss, but that positive reinforcement is seeing that the things you do will make you lose weight. That's why once people actually start losing the weight that first 5 pounds is usually a decent amount of motivation to keep them going. Or they start feeling better and increase mobility. Their positive reinforcement should not be people clapping and telling them they've made great progress just for putting on clothes, I can't understand all of these fit women essentially clapping like seals for fat women and saying they're so fantastic, so great, so empowering, so motivational, all that bitch did was put on stretchy clothes. And I'm supposed to clap for it? When she's down 20 pounds I'll clap, when she's lost half the weight I'll clap, when she's actually lost all of the weight and isn't still chubby, (because a lot of these women just stay chubby and say "but i'm no longer morbidly obese clap for me!") then I'll give a standing ovation.
But I will certainly absolutely not support some of these creatures that say they're in the gym all the time so therefore they're super healthy. Glitter and lasers went hard in the gym but she didn't lose any weight at any point and instead because she decided she would just try and work off all the bad eating habits, she instead destroyed her bones and joints. Not to mention SportyBeth.
