In some parts of the US the homeless people are nice. they will tell jokes as you walk past or ask how your day is, or maybe the time. they really dont ask for money.

i cant help but be disgusted by how fake it is. if this person were starving they would murder me, and im supposed to reciprocate their behavior because theyre being nice (for now)

friends are for children. adults have transactional relationships that involve tangible benefit for both parties like work associates, wife and kids.
