Ha! Okay that is true. SDXL models were trained at 1024x1024, so it thinks a character should occupy about that space. If you go too high in any direction like 2048 or more it can start duplicating body parts or other kinds of H O R R O R S because it thinks something should be filling that space.
But if you're doing something like a multi-character scene increasing one side to 1280 or even 1536 can work well for giving the AI more space to include the characters.
