Yeah, the USSR ended 35+ years ago. But the CIA's activities, including domestic spying and propaganda never ended. If anything they got even worse. The CIA used to have a powerful external enemy to focus its energy on, but once that went away they increasingly began to focus more against the American people itself. We've seen things like the Patriot Act come about to facilitate this increasing hostility of the American state against its own people.
Biden is the one who wrote the Patriot Act btw. He tried to get it passed back in 1995 after the OKC bombing but it met stiff resistance from Libertarians and was defeated. It took another 6 years when 9/11 happened when finally there was enough support to ram it through. Since then, America has become an unfree Dystopian shithole.
