Yes, you should try making some yourself. The filling has butter, almond paste, cardamom and vanilla extract which gives it a wonderful smell. I had saffron mixed with rum in the fridge overnight and now the entire smells of saffron. It's also so powerful that it infused with the cheese and gave it a slight saffron taste. Happens every time I do it, no idea how it's able to penetrate the plastic and into the cheese but it does, only top layer tho.
Almond paste is commonly mixed with cardamom in Sweden, is it a thing in America too?
