If your room turned into a dark world, what would it be like?

Nothing ever happens. AI will just become another DEI enforcing tool, will detect dissidents and will do its jobs "okay-ish" but not enough to full on replace workers.
What will affect is IT workers because one person would be able to do the job more easier. IT jobs are not coming back, you actually have to work. There's still a need for blue collar workers, that market is very underutilized. Buildings don't fix themselves.
We already are in the peak of AI, it cannot get exponentially better than this because they put too many political and ethical restrictions. The next step is robotics, but it's extremely expensive and if something as simple-ish like CRTs are not able to be mass produced anymore, then realistic robots won't be either. Companies are too lazy.
Call me when AI is freely allowed to create anything it is requested of, not this baby version.
