you never owned the "product'. you've always only purchased access which can be revoked at a company's discretion. nintendo to this day still reserve the legal right to reclaim their cartridges. purchasing access does not equal retaining their proprietary code and assets.
any legislative body worth their salt would never agree to the notion that "(You) purchasing a $70 game = (You) deserve to manipulate that piece of software".
complete gamer fantasy this whole initiative is, which itself is nested in manufactured social media hysteria. this so called movement will fall apart as soon as the legislative body reply something along the lines of "we have important global issues to deal with, please stop wasting our time". and the ringleaders behind this will have ran off with the donation money.
